Refund and Cancellation Policy

A deposit of 100% is required to confirm your order. If work has begun on your order and supplies have been purchased, we withhold 30% of the total amount.
Cancellation 4 days prior: 40% of the order value is withheld as a cancellation fee, and the rest is refunded.
Cancellation 2 days prior: 60% of the order value is withheld as a cancellation fee, and the rest is refunded.
Cancellation a day prior or on the same day: No refunds will be provided.
Cancellation fees are applicable to instalments as well. Refunds are processed via UPI only to the same account and cannot be processed to a different account or in cash. Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Changes requested after this period cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional charges.
All deposits are non-refundable. Once your order is accepted, refunds will not be considered. We retain the right to cancel bookings during unusual and emergency circumstances, such as ill health, fire, or family emergencies. In such cases, a 100% refund will be provided.

Refund/Exchange Policy:

At Chef by Heart, we are dedicated to ensuring our cakes and desserts meet your highest expectations. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us within 4 hours of pick-up and return the dessert to us. We will provide you with a credit equal to the value of the returned item, which can be applied to a future purchase. Please note that all refunds are issued as in-store credit

Delivery Terms:

We do not personally deliver cakes unless they are highly customized, such as dessert tables or wedding cakes that require on-site setup at the venue.
Wedding Cakes: We typically set up the cake 1-3 hours before your event. For outdoor events, setup is done as close to the reception time as possible, which may limit certain design options.
Please inform us of any road hazards or obstacles that could impact delivery. Chef by Heart cannot be held liable for issues arising from unavoidable occurrences, such as acts of God, accidents, poor road conditions, or any mishaps during delivery.
If the client or a representative is unavailable to receive the delivery, a re-delivery fee will be charged.

We deeply value your trust in us to be a part of your special celebrations. We guarantee that the Flavors, size, and overall design elements will align with the specifications outlined in your order.
Design Variations
Custom cakes are an artistic expression, and while we strive to match colors and designs as closely as possible, slight variations may occur. Exposure to light can also affect the final appearance. We do not offer refunds or discounts for minor color discrepancies or design variations due to lighting. If a significant change is necessary, Chef by Heart will communicate with you to seek approval for any redesigns.
Care and Handling
We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after it has been picked up or left our studio or once setup is complete. It is the client’s responsibility to provide a secure and appropriate table and environment for the cake. Cakes are delicate and require a sturdy surface, with a cool temperature to maintain their integrity.
If you or your representative opts to pick up the cake, you assume full responsibility for its condition once it leaves our studio.
For cakes featuring fresh flowers, the safety and suitability of the flowers are the florist’s responsibility, not Chef by Heart’s. We are not liable for any damage caused by the placement of flowers or other items by third parties.

Photographs and Marketing

We reserve the right to photograph our creations and use these images on our website, social media, or in marketing materials. By placing an order with Chef by Heart, you agree to allow us to use any photographs for promotional purposes without compensation.
